Honda partners with SoundHound to develop voice-enabled AI assistant

Japanese automaker is collaborating with SoundHound through its Honda Xclerator open innovation program

Honda has teamed up with SoundHound, a US-based start-up specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language recognition technology, to accelerate the development of voice-enable AI assistant, SoundHound said in a press release on 24 October. SoundHound’s Houndify solutions integrate a flexible and scalable voice-enabled conversational intelligence into products including vehicles, services and businesses to simplify user experience. The solution combines automatic speech recognition and natural language understanding into one engine, resulting in increased speed and efficiency.
