US city of Gainesville, Connected Signals deliver real-time traffic signal data to motorists
The timely information on when a traffic signal is going to change helps driver to better plan their vehicle movement resulting in greater safety fuel efficiency
Connected Signals has completed a pilot project in City of Gainesville in Florida, United States, to make all traffic signals in the city online with its smart signal information, the company said in a press release earlier this month. The project was started in April 2017 as part of the University of Florida Transportation Institute’s I-STREET testbed. I-STREET testbed was created in partnership with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Connected Vehicle Initiative to test connected and autonomous vehicle technologies.
