Hella’s FY 2017/18 net profit up 13.7% y/y to USD451.2 million

Company expects growth momentum to continue in FY 2018/19

Hella has reported 13.7% year-over-year (y/y) increase in net profit to EUR388.7 million (USD451.2 million) in the financial year (FY) ended 31 May 2018, the Germany-based automotive electronics and lighting supplier said in a press release on 10 August. Sales increased 7.2% y/y to EUR7.06 billion. The company reported currency adjusted sales growth of 9.3% y/y. Higher sales helped the company report 13.2% y/y growth in EBIT to EUR574.3 million and EBIT margin of 8.1%. Hella recorded adjusted EBIT of EUR581 million, up 8.8% y/y, and adjusted EBIT margin of 8.2%.
