Aptiv join forces with Hertz for managing autonomous fleet

US-based supplier gearing up to launch a self-driving ride-hailing service in Las Vegas this fall

Aptiv has entered a strategic partnership with US-based car rental firm Hertz and its fleet management subsidiary Donlen for managing Aptiv’s autonomous vehicles in North America, Hertz said in a press release on 31 July. The two companies will implement a phased approach to develop a standard operating procedure for autonomous vehicles used in ride-hailing service. Aptiv is gearing up to launch a ride-hailing service with autonomous vehicles in Las Vegas, United States, this fall.
