Heavy-duty truckmakers are likely to adopt a multi-technology approach to meet the proposed CO2 emission reduction targets in Europe; the new targets are also expected to drive innovation among suppliers

In a bid to put a lid on emissions, the European Commission (EC) has turned its gaze on the heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) segment. Last month, the EC came out with its first ever legislative proposal for regulating CO2 emissions from new HDVs.
