Magna forms JV with GAC Component in China to produce composite liftgate
Company claims its liftgate modules can deliver up to 25% mass savings compared with steel versions
Magna has entered into a joint venture (JV) with GAC’s subsidiary, GAC Component Co. (GACC) to manufacture composite liftgates for a global automaker’s crossover vehicle starting in late 2018, the Canadian supplier said in a press release yesterday (2 April).
