Panasonic, Trend Micro to develop cybersecurity solution for connected cars

Two partners plan to commercially launch jointly developed cybersecurity solution after 2020

Panasonic has entered a partnership with Trend Micro to jointly develop cybersecurity solutions for autonomous and connected cars, the company announced in a press release on 14 February. The companies will design a solution that can detect and prevent intrusions into vehicle’s electronic control units (ECUs) that control key driving functions such as acceleration, steering and braking as well as in-vehicle infotainment devices such as navigation system and telematics devices.
