CES 2018: Visteon unveils ‘DriveCore’ autonomous driving platform

Company partners with Chinese automaker GAC to develop autonomous driving, cockpit electronics solutions

Visteon unveiled its DriveCore autonomous driving platform at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas, United States on Tuesday (9 January). According to the company’s press release, the scalable, open-standard platform features hardware, in-vehicle middleware and PC-based software toolset needed to develop machine learning algorithms for autonomous driving applications of SAE Level 3 and above. DriveCore will offer automakers a fail-safe domain controlled with high computing power to support the integration of data from cameras, Lidar and radar sensors.
