Crystal Ball is Fuzzy as OEMs Try to Predict the Network Future

Connected cars are no longer news; they have become expected within the automotive industry. Vehicles all the way from the Audi A8 down to the Chevrolet Aveo are being fitted with some sort of connectivity. As OEMs start implementing this new technology in vehicles, one of their greatest challenges is to future proof the vehicle since vehicles have a much longer life than most consumer electronic devices. Future-proofing has always been a concern in the automotive industry, since vehicles can last a customer somewhere between seven to 10 years, and when it comes to connectivity and future-proofing OEMs need to realize that network connectivity should be one of their primary concerns.
