Tesla Model S: Autopilot & Software Over-The-Air


Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk appeared as comfortable as ever on a brisk California night in October when he took to the stage and spotlight to unveil “the D and something else”. The event introduced two significant evolutions with respect to the original Model S. First, “the D” indicates a new dual-motor option to enable all-wheel drive. The “something else” is much more interesting and has much greater potential to alter the automotive landscape: autopilot functionality, several ADAS applications and a suite of sensors around the vehicle to enable these support systems.
