Tesla confirms contract with battery maker LG Chem – report
Battery maker to offer replacement battery pack for Tesla's Roadster sports car
Tesla Motors has confirmed a contract with LG Chem to supply batteries for upgrades to the company’s first car, the Roadster, reports The Wall Street Journal. The new replacement pack cells have a 31% higher energy density than the Panasonic cells in the original roadster, delivering a capacity of 70 kWh.
