Wallbox, recognized for its electric vehicle charging solutions, and ChargeLab, a notable EV charging software provider, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing commercial EV charger deployments throughout North America. This collaboration combines Wallbox's advanced charging hardware with ChargeLab's sophisticated software, offering distributors a comprehensive solution.
The partnership specifies that Wallbox's Pulsar Pro Level 2 chargers and Supernova 180 DC fast chargers will come preconfigured with ChargeLab software via OCPP, facilitating smart charging features such as power management, pricing for charger monetization and access control. This integrated solution targets charging setups in workplaces, multifamily residences and public networks.
Fred Turner, senior director at Wallbox North America, expressed enthusiasm over the partnership with ChargeLab, emphasizing its role in offering a comprehensive commercial solution across key North American locations and facilitating the transition to EVs. Zak Lefevre, CEO of ChargeLab, also highlighted the significance of the partnership in evolving the EV charger product line for electrical distributors by merging ChargeLab's smart software with Wallbox's superior hardware.
The collaboration introduces products such as Supernova 180, an award-winning charger known for its compact design, reliability and efficiency, capable of significantly fast charging. Wallbox's Pulsar Pro, the newest member of the globally best-selling Pulsar product line, is designed for commercial installations and offers enhanced performance features. ChargeLab's contribution includes the ChargeLab CSMS, a comprehensive, cloud-based EV charger management service that supports charger connectivity and management while being compliant with North American regulations.
The bundled offering from this partnership will not only include Wallbox's hardware but also provide exclusive access to specially priced ChargeLab software, encompassing all units within the Wallbox range. This strategic alliance aims to simplify and enhance the EV charging experience for distributors, charge-point operators and end-users, propelling forward the adoption of EVs.
