The strategic partnership between the two companies in Europe builds upon the two-year collaboration they had on the EV charging services in North America

Vietnamese EV maker VinFast Auto has signed a cooperation agreement with Bosch, a leading global supplier of automotive technology and services, to get access to the latter’s extensive network of 700,000 charging points in 30 countries in Europe, the company announced on May 15.

The cooperation deal with Bosch will provide VinFast’s EV customers in Europe access to a large network of EV charging points across Europe, providing these customers with the freedom and convenience to travel across the borders without worrying about charging their EVs.

The strategic partnership between the two companies in Europe builds upon the two-year collaboration they had on the EV charging services in North America.

According to the company, the said agreement will enable VinFast customers to locate, charge, and pay seamlessly through the VinFast smartphone app or directly through the vehicle's integrated infotainment system. The customers can also expect access to data offering complete transparency over their charging sessions and history, allowing them to manage charging costs effectively.

Commenting on the strategic partnership with Bosch, Le Thi Thu Trang, VinFast Europe CEO, said, “This partnership with Bosch ensures our customers have access to a reliable and extensive network, fostering a smooth transition to electric mobility. We continue to prioritize our customer's needs, and this collaboration aligns perfectly with that philosophy.”

Adding to that, Martin Knoss, vice president, ASEAN region, Bosch, said, “The majority of EV drivers rely on public charging infrastructure. Recognizing this need, Bosch has continuously expanded its global network, increasing it by sixfold since 2020. This partnership enables us to accommodate VinFast customers throughout Europe, where we anticipate having a total of 850,000 charging ports by the end of 2024, while also supporting their global expansion endeavors.”

VinFast said that the company is on track to expand its presence in established markets such as the US, and Europe, as well as in the upcoming markets across Asia, including India, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Middle East and Africa.
